Violence in America

Violence begets Fear,
Fear begets Anger,
Anger begets Violence,
Vicious Circle becomes a Vicious Spiral.
A sad time for America.

Stop any one of the three to break the circle: Violence, Fear, & Anger. Better yet, stop all three.

2016 USA Presidential Election Polls

Note: I’ve stopped posting poll results, because some of the major media sites have begun posting them daily.  One of those is: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/latest_polls/

A time for Meditation, a time for Action

The Paris murders yesterday were terrible. But I read this article today, and feel a need to comment. It is about one of the men who survived in the concert hall where 4 terrorists killed over 118 people in a crowd of thousands.

“The killers were quiet, calm. Jerome Lorenzi decided he had to be the same. As he lay on the floor of the darkened concert hall, he held himself as still as possible – not just to avoid attracting the gunmen’s notice, but also to meet death with equanimity if he did.
“You don’t move. You’re just waiting for your turn,” he said Saturday. “I thought, you are going to die, just be as relaxed as you can. Don’t be sad this is the end.”

If I’m ever in such a situation, I pray that I’ll have the guts to get my butt off the ground and do something useful. Maybe charge the shooters, or try to protect the women & children, help the wounded, perhaps look for a way to escape.

Anything would be better than just laying on the ground, meditating & waiting to be culled like a sheep.

It is my belief, & hope, that many Americans (maybe a few more Texans), feel the same way. Because a nation of sheep will not survive long in a violent world.
